weekly TUITION and Support

I only offer tuition on a regular, weekly basis. I charge £300 per calendar month, payable in advance on the 1st of the month, which covers four one-hour lessons, full access to my online database of exam questions and mark schemes (with over 1,000 questions) and ongoing continuous support and help outside of lesson time. I do whatever I can to help my students succeed: I’ve even answered messages from a frantic student at midnight, and I’m always happy to talk to parents and guardians.

For short-term tutorial engagements, I charge £100 per hour.

UCAS ADVICE

I help students write their own personal statement and review the drafts that they write. I also offer advice on university entry in general, and specific guidance on applying to Oxford and Cambridge, including interview and test preparation. I charge £100 per hour for this, payable in advance.

Help with writing a UCAS personal statement typically takes two hours in two separate sessions of an hour each. This can be done online or over the phone – you do not need to come to my house if you do not live locally.

PAYMENT

I only accept payments made online. I do not accept cash or cheques.

Monthly fees are due in advance on the 1st of the month.

Please have a look at my academic qualifications and professional background as well as the outstanding feedback I have received from my students, their parents, and my teaching colleagues.

Private tuition is my full-time employment and I have substantial experience of working with students and helping them achieve the grades necessary to get into the university of their choice. I am not someone who tutors for a bit of extra cash but without any real commitment or experience. I have completed over 15,000 hours of private tuition since I started in 2006.

My skill lies in having a detailed understanding of examinations: the specifications, the exam papers and the marking process and an ability to make the mathematics simple and accessible to my students. I really want my students to succeed and do everything I can to help them achieve their goals.
